Milt's Dairy Bar

Built in the late 1940's, the older generations in Janesville will remember their time spent at Milt's Dairy Bar between 1954 and 1973.

A hotspot for Craig High School students and the surrounding community from the start, Milt's featured many hand made foods from house recipes, a soda bar, and mini jukeboxes on each table.

Ownership changed in the late 1960s and was taken over by a longtime worker who carried on the Milt's tradition.

Dairy Queen

Dairy Queen bought the location and opened their first Janesville franchise in the mid 1970s. They became the hotspot for all things ice cream to the community for nearly 50 years.

Who doesn't remember going to DQ as a kid and playing the coin drop game at their register for a free blizzard?

Dairy Queen closed its doors in 2020 and the location became empty for several years.

Rockin Rob's

Rockin Rob's was fortunate enough to be able to secure this wonderful property to bring our restaurant to Janesville. We have been working on renovating this property since June 2024.

Owners, Brian and Graham, grew up in Craig alumni families and each graduated from Craig High School. We spent a good portion of our childhoods racing to Dairy Queen in when it was open in the warm months. Our parents all have fond stories of their times at Milt's.

Brian has worked in the Janesville community as a restaurant manager and worker for the past 30 years. He has a strong commitment to making high quality products and believes that customer satisfaction and employee treatment are vital to a strong company.

After serving as a general manager successfully for a local franchise for multiple years, Brian decided it was time to begin working towards the goal he had set with his late brother, Robbie, Rockin Rob's namesake. We look forward to presenting his vision of a restaurant to Janesville.
